* Automatic Press Sheet Optimization
Pandora (Pro only) includes automatic, optimized filling of press sheets
with support for both die-cut and straight-cut jobs. The die-cut auto-fill
feature offers advanced auto-nesting capabilities for irregularly shaped
objects. The straight-cut auto-fill feature ensures realistic, executable
,
straight-cutting sequences that can also be described and exported in CIP
3
PPF format. CIP3 data from Pandora can be used with cutting device
consoles such as the POLAR-MOHRî Compucut.
* Industry Leading File Formats
Pandora is a native PDF-based solution. PDF provides predictability,
reliability, and consistency in your workflow. Pandora accepts and
previews CFF2, DDES2, and DXF ┘ die files. In addition, Pandora can output
PDF, Adobeî Portable Job Ticket Format (PJTF), CIP4 Job Definition Format
(JDF), Creoî PCF, and PostScriptî. This versatility allows Pandora to be
seamlessly integrated into a variety of workflows, including Creo Brisque┘
Pack, Creo Prinergyî Powerpack┘, and other popular workflow solutions.
* ╙Snap & Repeat╘
Pandora╥s ╙Snap to Die╘ feature automatically aligns artwork to selected
die stations so you can build jobs quickly. If you are not using dies, you
can take advantage of Pandora╥s ╙Step & Repeat╘ functionality for artwork
and marks. Pandora can overlap artwork for nesting labels and packaging
images, and uses caching to reduce file size and speed up network and
print operations.
* Manage your Shop╥s Resources
Pandora uses an intuitive drag-and-drop interface to integrate your shop╥s
press sheets, film, plates, output devices, presses, and workflows into
each job. It╥s easy to add or delete these resources, as well as to share
them between copies of Pandora. You eliminate costly mistakes and save
precious time when you use Pandora to help manage your shop╥s resources.
* Add Printer╥s Marks
Pandora comes with more than 60 commonly used printer marks, such as
registration and calibration targets, take-off bars, and color bars. Also
included are Pandora╥s SmartMarks┘, which automatically resize and
position themselves on your press sheet. You can also import your own
marks and have full control over the color, size, and orientation of marks
in Pandora.
* Automatic and Customizable Bleed Margins
Taking artwork from single-up to multiple-up layouts requires being able
to adjust bleed margins for each piece of artwork, sometimes as complex
polygons. Pandora gives you full control over bleed margins and shape. It
also automatically generates bleed paths derived from die outlines, and
intuitively resolves bleed conflicts, preventing bleed overlaps. Both
simple rectangular and complex polygon-shaped bleed paths can be easily
defined and reused across multiple artwork objects.
* Control your Color
Pandora╥s setup gives you total control of color. Re-map spot colors,
convert spot colors to process, and convert process colors to spot.
Pandora also supports PostScript Level 2 in-RIP color separations.
* Follow the Standard
All the leading prepress equipment manufacturers are embracing PDF
workflow solutions. Pandora╥s native PDF and PJTF support ensures industry
compatibility for today and tomorrow.
